    Anxiety

"Quieting the Noise in your Head" is an excellent resource by Reid Wilson that we like to use.  It does a good job of describing the rumination cycle that we can have going on in our heads, and how both our thoughts and emotions can mislead us into a strategy that won't win the game for us.

    Depression
"Keys to Unlocking Depression" by Micheal Yapko is a book that we find easy to use.  It organizes the condition very well, and is a great resource to figure out how to make small steady steps in choosing a brighter future.

    Emotional Regulation and Cognitive Distortions

Emotions and thoughts are powerful engines.  They can drive chaos, or they can create tranquility.

Emotions are "real-life" indicators of our limits.  When we experience an emotion, we have two choices.  We can get taken along for a wild ride... or we can see the message that an emotion brings to us about ourselves and our situations.  It is in listening to these messages that we can start to create new ways of being in our world.

Cognitive Distortions (from CBT) could be defined as "thought-health".  Attending to the way we are crafting our thoughts and then cleaning them up is an extremely powerful tool.  No one is perfect at this, as even the healthiest of people are constantly challenging and recrafting their thoughts.

Great excitement comes from watching people take their frustrating situations, and then use those situations to start to become enormously aware of what they are doing.  People can then unlock tremendous new growth that they never previously imagined.
